Kori and Nightwing flashback.
Red Hood and the Outlaws #6.

See this Starfire costume? This I can get behind. I wish the bottom piece came higher on her hips just so I wouldn’t worry about it slipping off, but I can live with it. No, the big thing is the top part. Because it could be functional. This outfit can keep her boobs in place and stay on. Those glorified pasties cannot.

Kori states that Jason is the only person that she has ever known as “just a friend”

So that means she has slept with everybody else she ever knew?

I don’t know about you, guys, but that makes Donna/Kory canon for me.

Red Hood and the Outlaws? More like…

Ha ha ha. Oh, Jaysus, for a moment there it almost sounded like you thought Lobdell knew the meaning of the word “continuity”. Ha ha ha.

“I wish people who say how much Red Hood and the Outlaws is bad and that Lodbell is a crap writer could just die. Yes, die. It’s not because I like the titles - and I do LOVE the comics - and definitely it’s not because he is my favorite writer (he isn’t, but he is good). It’s simply because those people keep saying “Hey, it’s just my opinion”, but dismiss the others. They should know by now the best critics are the fans, because they don’t read to say it’s bad. They read because they love it.”

I’m just gonna leave this here for someone else to deal with.

I feel like Lobdell is like… the kinda guy who goes “You know that thing that you think I’m gonna do? I’m gonna do the OPPOSITE!” and he thinks that’s what constitutes creative writing.  I think he has a little too much free reign and too little understanding of the core of these characters and what makes them and their relationships so significant to fans.

For example, he doesn’t understand Jason. AT ALL.  It was clear in RHATO when he had Jason stating that he was mad at Bruce for letting him die. THAT WAS NEVER THE CASE - the whole point was that Jason forgave Bruce for not getting there in time to save him, but he never forgave him for letting the Joker live to continue ruining people’s lives.

Similarly, a HUGE part of Tim’s character was that he felt Batman needed to have a Robin to prove that while the person filling the role is mortal, the legacy of Robin can never die.  A really poignant scene was when the Joker saw Tim as Robin for the first time and his smile fades and he screams “I KILLED YOU!”. But no, Robin was back and it proved that the spirit of Robin can never be defeated.

Also if Tim went as Red Robin it fucks Jason’s character further because one of the reasons he was so fucking angry at Bruce was that he felt like he was being replaced. ‘Kay, now that character development is out the window. Not to mention it fucks with the fact the Red Robin existed before as something different and it strips Tim of his individuality now that Damian is Robin…. like what even is the logic/point of that!?

Koriand’r: Unacceptable accomodations for a princess, let us away.

Roy: Not too emasculating, eh?

Jason: You know what is really emasculating? Getting killed. Get over yourself, Harper.

Just as the team gets back to Earth in RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #14, they are interrupted by Superman. Why? Maybe it has something to do with the fact there’s a Black Market alien technology being fenced and the Man of Steel has traced a connection to the Red Hood!
Leading up to next month’s “Death of the Family” tie-in issue, RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #14 reunites the creative team of the upcoming SUPERMAN ANNUAL #1, writer Scott Lobdell and guest artist Pascal Alixe.
“Superman vs. the Outlaws!! Even with Starfire, it’s a short fight—but what a fight!” teased series editor Eddie Berganza. “Now what brings the Man of Steel on the trail of Red Hood and company will be leading into bigger things for both this book and SUPERMAN. Stay tuned!”
Below, take an exclusive first look at RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #14 by checking out Kenneth Rocafort’s cover for the issue, which lands in stores on November 21.

Huh, now that’s interesting. I always thought a Superman/Starfire relationship (non-romantic) would be REALLY interesting.
